I’m so delighted to finally share this very special collaboration with Yorkshire sculpture park!
On April 3rd I will be hosting a life drawing session inspired by Bharti Khers powerful sculpture, 6 Women, which forms part of her major solo exhibition, ‘Alchemies’.
Bharti Kher centres the female body and experience through sculpture. Addressing timely political issues around identity and gender, she reframes the perspective and position of women from her own experiences.
With the light filled backdrop of YSPs underground gallery, this unique session invites you to sketch a live model alongside this sculpture for the first hour while the gallery is closed. We will then walk up to The Kitchen Café for a break and a hot drink, before returning to the gallery to work directly from the sculpture.
Whether you’re an experienced artist or a curious beginner, this workshop offers an intimate exploration of form and mark making. I will be will sharing techniques and insights to help you bring your drawings to life.
